The Emmanuel Worship Center is a Seventh-day Adventist congregation which has been replanted from the Emmanuel Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church which has existed for 50 years at 2707 Dewitt Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia. The new worship center began its operation on July 27, 2017. The last worship service at 2707 Dewitt Avenue culminated with a baptism of four persons who gave their lives to Christ. This brought to an end what has been described as an extensive and fascinating history. Since the congregation was formed in 1906, the size of the congregation remained at less than 100,

with challenging attendance. Therefore, after an in depth analysis of the external and internal circumstances, a decision was made to sell and replant the church. The new property secured for the church is at 8145 Richmond Highway, Alexandria Virginia where a church house affords us to serve the local community with Health Education, Family Life Education, and Community and Youth Services.

It is the desire of the pastor and congregation to see a more aggressive phase of community directed ministry and growth, sand to build a congregation with sustainability. We are repairing a little house at the front of the property that will become the central point from which we launch our health and community service activities, such as our Health Fairs and a Food Pantry.

We are holding our morning worship services at a Wesley United Methodist Church at 8412 Richmond Avenue, that is half mile away from 8145 Richmond Hwy. We have launched a second stage of our fundraising for the building of our worship and educational center. We are now focused on street ministry that God can build us up.People are taking notice stating that the congregation is made up of friendly, warm and genuine people who make them feel welcomed. You can feel the welcome too, when you call our church or walk in the front door.
